Introduction

The flexi-time scheme allows all colleagues to have an element of flexibility over their working hours. It involves a flexible start and finish around the Mission Labs core working hours as long as the start and finish are within the ‘bandwidth’. This allows staff more choice over their working hours, subject to business requirements.

Aim of the policy

• To ensure that staff use flexi-time as an approach to working hours, to promote a better work/life balance.
• To promote trust and empower staff to use this as a tool to organise work commitments and personal commitments.

The Benefits of Flexi-time

• To ensure staff understand the requirements of the scheme - the core working hours, expectations and bandwidths.

• It’s an opportunity to fit other commitments and activities in with work, creating a better work/life balance

• Colleagues can become more in control of their workload and meet deadlines

• It allows colleagues to schedule their commute time to avoid travelling to work at

  peak times

• Personal appointments can be arranged without having to take time off

Core Business Hours and Flexible Hours

• The contracted working hours pattern for a full time member of staff is 37.5 hours per week, excluding lunch breaks.
• Under the flexi-time scheme, colleagues are able to begin and finish work within the ‘bandwidth’ hours (7.30am - 10am and 4pm - 7.30pm) as and when they wish.
• It can be used as a tool to help with childcare arrangements

Due to team and client meetings, all colleagues are expected to make the best endeavours to be present in the office or off-site during the core hours which are defined as below:
